I signed up to participate in the ADORNit fabric challenge for HMQS, which is in Salt Lake City May 8-10. I decided to sign up to give myself a reason to go down to the show. It's 3 hours away from us, and it would be easy to talk myself out of it!
I'm so excited to go down there! Not only to see my quilt in a show, but my daughter lives down there, also. It's always nice to have an excuse to visit her!
Also, we'll be picking up my new longarm while we're there! EEK!! I can't wait.
This pattern is a tutorial from Jenny at Sew Kind of Wonderful, using her Quick Curve Ruler. I love how this turned out!

Anyway, it was our spring break last week, and we woke up to snow on Sunday morning. Like 6 inches of snow! It worked out, because snow is the perfect backdrop for this colorful quilt!
I just love the texture of the quilting.
I named this quilt "Daisy Dance" because the flowers seem to dance over the quilt!
I bound it in one of the challenge fabrics, called Ticker Tape.
My daughter Megan was my photography assistant. She's a little bit of a cheeseball!
She makes nice shadows.
But she doesn't like to hold quilts.
I had to make a label for this quilt, which I've actually never done in all my years of quilting! It was stressful!
Thank you to all who commented so sweetly on my last post. I appreciate all the kind words and encouragement!
